Volcano Arenal. Located in the Northern part of Costa Rica. This is an ACTIVE volcano. Every few seconds hot boulders are thrust through the opening at the peak and tumble down the side of the mountain. At night, this has the beauty of the 4th of July fireworks! Here, we are just across the river from the base of the volcano. ~J&T
